Felted Paintings

Over the last number of years, I have embraced the world of needle-felted wool. The process is essentially painting and sculpting images with wool. Using colorful wool fiber and a felting needle or two, I build whimsical and nature-inspired images by layering fibers and meticulously shaping them with a barbed needle. The result is part painting, and part textile. They are topographically rich, and offer a satisfying, sculptural softness that feels bright and enchanting.
