What Is Felted Soap & Why Use It?: Felted soap, centuries old in origin, combines a soap and washcloth in one, making bars last longer and easier to grip. Wool is a gentle exfoliant, safe for hands, face, and body. Naturally antimicrobial and biodegradable, it can last for years with care and be composted when done.

What Are Wooly Washers?: Our Wooly Washers are hand-felted artisanal soaps wrapped in soft, 100% wool roving, then wet-felted to form a durable felt cover. Artist, Ella Hauwiller, then meticulously needle-felts unique designs. The result: a one-of-a-kind, functional work of art—great for gifting, travel, camping, limited dexterity, or making bath time more fun.

How to Use Felted Soap: Wet the soap, squeeze until suds appear, then scrub—soapy wool strengthens the felt and prevents pilling. The wool will shrink with the soap. Let it dry between uses (a hardwood soap dish is included). When the soap is gone, slit the felt to insert another bar or soap slivers. You can also repurpose the pouch as a washcloth, dryer ball, cat toy, ornament, or potpourri sachet. For extra softness, add a drop of lanolin with each new bar.

What Happens When I Order a Felted Soap? Each felted soap is made to order, so please allow up to 4 weeks for creation and delivery, though typical delivery is within 1-2 weeks.

Soap ingredients: Organic Extra Virgin olive oil, RSPO certified palm oil, organic high oleic sunflower oil, organic coconut oil, organic shea butter, cocoa butter, castor oil, rosemary oleoresin, & sodium lactate.
